HRLA hosts ''Strategies to Get Your Initiative Approved''

Human Resource Leadership Association of SECT will host its July meeting, discussing 'Strategies to get your Initiative Approved' virtually on Tuesday, July 20 at 2pm. 

As HR professionals, we usually don’t see our role as sales.  In actuality, we are selling ourselves and our initiatives every day as part of our strategic involvement in our organization’s success.  Understanding the buying process mindset, we can position ourselves as influencers to create buy-in from decision-makers.  During our time together, we will explore strategies and tactics to accelerate our HR initiatives, and how to maximize the organizational value they create.

About the Speaker: Brian P. Walker - President of Walker & Associates, Inc.

Brian has a 35+ year track record of success in training and coaching individuals from small to large organizations. He’s personally trained and coached over 15,000 people. He spent the first 18 years of his career with a multi-national training company and owned the franchise in Connecticut. He achieved certification in all of their programs and was a certified product tailoring specialist allowing him to design and tailor programs to meet specific company needs. He served on the International Leadership Board and designed and implemented internal training and business development strategies for other franchise locations to help them grow their businesses.   He’s implemented processes and approaches in a variety of industries including sales, communications, financial services, manufacturing, banking, newspapers, utilities, non-profits and even call centers to name a few. His approaches cross industry lines because he understands the results of any organization are based on the growth and development of its people and how to translate that into action. Brian’s participation and facilitation of a Master's Program for Organizational Leadership allow him to incorporate his strategic leadership designs into client strategies for success. He believes in contributing back to his community as he currently serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, which provides programs to build entrepreneurism and financial literacy to the kids it supports. His commitment is to always help others be better.
