Ignite's Innovators Networking Series Continues with CT Innovations at Feb 15 Event

Groton, CT – Ignite, a program of Thames River Innovation Place, will host its first Thirsty Thursday Innovators Networking event for 2018 on Thursday, February 15th. The featured speaker will be Carrie Collins White from Connecticut Innovations. The event is open to all innovators, entrepreneurs and business owners and will take place from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at CURE Innovation Commons located at 93 Shennecossett Road in Groton, CT. Connecticut Innovations (CI) is Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm and the leading source of financing and ongoing support for innovative, growing companies. Carrie Collins White is a Senior Investment Associate at Connecticut Innovations (CI) where she sources and evaluates new opportunities, conducts due diligence, closes deals and monitors several companies in the bioscience portfolio. White joined CI in December 2013 to provide program and project management support for CTNext, Connecticut’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. She came to CI with 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, after holding several positions at Pfizer in clinical data management and business operations. White was integral in managing relationships with small to large clinical research organizations (CROs) and leading continuous improvement initiatives. She has her Six Sigma Green Belt certification for leading an initiative that streamlined and expedited the CRO payment process for the company.
 
Ignite is designed to spur new ideas, businesses, and innovative growth in the Thames River region by producing events, sponsoring education, and connecting entrepreneurs into the business development support system. The Ignite program is established under the Thames River Innovation Place and is made possible by support from CTNext . The Thirsty Thursday Innovators Networking Series takes place on the third Thursday of every month. Thirsty Thursday is just one of many programs regularly held by Ignite.
