Lisa Griffin Appointed Eastern Savings Bank Interim President and CEO

André J. Messier Jr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EasternSavings Bank today announced the appointment of Lisa H. Griffin as interim President and CEO of the bank. She joined Eastern in 2004 and since 2014 has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the locally governed institution.

In making the announcement, Messier said “Lisa brings over 30 years of experience in banking, always exemplifying excellence. She has done a fantastic job for Eastern as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, implementing several of our 21st century operations and customer convenience services. She has strong community ties, including being Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce. She has risen to leadership positions in various professional associations, including serving as President and Director of the New England Financial Marketing Association.”

Ms. Griffin’s appointment replaces the positions held by Kenneth Dyer, the former CEO, who elected to leave the bank effective April 28, 2017. Messier said “The Board of Directors acknowledges Ken’s contribution to Eastern and wishes him well in his future endeavors.”
