Mitchell College President Profiled in Women in Higher Education

Dr. Tracy Y. Espy, president of Mitchell College, was recently profiled in Women in Higher Education, a publication for practitioners in the field, dedicated to issues affecting women working in higher education.
In the article, Espy, who began her tenure as Mitchell’s eighth and first African-American president in July, highlights the need of a liberal arts education for preparing students to be adaptable in their futures, as well as the importance of building community partnerships and civic engagement among students, faculty and staff. She also shares the path that she took to becoming a college president.
