More than Childcare at the Stonington Community Center!

Stonington, Connecticut – Does the school year already have you feeling frazzled? Nip your worries in the bud and ensure scheduling ease by enrolling in COMO Kids and IMPACT with The Stonington Community Center. These two state-licensed programs offer state-licensed childcare, and provide the quality and convenience you are looking for!

The COMO Kids program runs before and aftercare at our two satellite sites, Deans Mill and West Vine Street School. Drop off your student at 7am, and know they will have a great morning before school starts. Kids have time to play board games, play in the school gym or outside and have a morning meeting before dismissal to school.

Once last bell has rung, COMO Kids are sent to their satellite sites. West Broad Street school students are bussed to West Vine, and Deans Mill and West Vine students are dismissed directly to our aftercare program. Aftercare runs from dismissal until 6pm, during which time students work on homework, play in the school gym or outside, engage in social play with other students, and get creative with crafts and group projects.

IMPACT, our program for middle school youth, serves grades 5-8 from Mystic and Pawcatuck Middle Schools. Students are bussed to the COMO after school, and enjoy a daily schedule that balances structure with free time. Kids become invested in the COMO culture of community and kindness. From the moment the afternoon starts, middle schoolers are drawn into fun activities, with time allotted for homework, physical activity, and group projects. By 6pm, your child will have had time to recharge and rest after a long school day, and will be ready for whatever their schedule throws at them.
