This July, Music Matters's own Elena Zamolodchikova will record brilliant harpsichord suites of the German High Baroque in the otherwise empty La Grua Center. The great German harpsichordist-composers brought about a deeply appealing, joyous union of Italian, French, and German styles. C.P.E. Bach tells us that his father greatly admired Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer, while George Frideric Handel thought well enough of him to quietly expropriate a number of his movements for his own suites. Elena will play this tuneful, engaging music on a large French double harpsichord by Zuckermann, Stonington. Please join us on the final Saturday in July for this exceptional recital!
