National Endowment for the Arts Awards $245,000 to CT Non-Profits

The Connecticut Office of the Arts would like to congratulate the Connecticut non-profit organizations awarded a grant by the National Endowment for the Arts!
 
Goodspeed Opera House Foundation, Inc. (aka Goodspeed Musicals), East Haddam
$20,000 to support a new adaptation of producation of "Cyrano."
 
Music Mountain Incorporated, Falls Village
$10,000 to support 89th annual Music Mountain Summer Chamber Music Festival.
 
Real Art Ways, Hartford
$20,000 to support an exhibition series featuring the work of emerging artists.
 
Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford
$20,000 to support an exhibition featuring the art collections of American artist and illustrator Edward Gorey (1925-2000).
 
Wesleyan University (on behalf of the Wesleyan University Press), Middletown
$15,000 to support Wesleyan University Press in the publication and promotion of books of poetry.
 
Artspace, Inc., New Haven
$20,000 to support City-Wide Open Studios, a public art commissioning project and professional development program.
 
New Haven International Festival of Arts & Ideas, Inc., New Haven
$45,000 to support the presentation of "The Merchant of Venice" at the International Festival of Arts & Ideas.
 
Yale University (aka Yale University Art Gallery) (on behalf of Yale Repertory Theatre), New Haven
To support a production of "Father Comes Home from the Wars, Part 1, 2 & 3" by Suzan-Lori Parks at Yale Repertory Theatre.
 
Connecticut College, New London
$15,000 to support the onStage performing arts series.
 
Eugene O'Neill Memorial Theater Center, Inc., Waterford
$55,000 to support the National Playwrights Conference and the National Music Theater Conference.
