Endowed Scholarship Established in Memory of Michael B. Brown at Three Rivers Community College

The Three Rivers College Foundation is pleased to announce the formal endowment of the Michael B. Brown Memorial Scholarship. His brother, Dr. Si Brown, who resides in Vancouver, Canada, has chosen to honor his memory with the creation of a $15,000 endowed scholarship.
While employed at Millstone Power Station, Brown championed the nuclear program at Three Rivers Community College, formerly known as Thames Valley Technical College, that challenged students with science and math courses in preparation for employment in technical positions. He was a strong supporter of all aspects of the nuclear program and recruited high school students from under-represented communities.
In 2003, Brown was awarded an Honorary Degree from Three Rivers Community College. He was a member of the Three Rivers’ Nuclear Advisory Committee initially as a function of his position at Millstone, but he remained an active, vibrant member after his retirement until his passing in early 2020.
