We’re keeping a close eye on the rapid developments concerning COVID-19. We’re committed to supporting the community during this time of uncertainty. We are taking the necessary precautions to stay fully operational and keep everyone as safe as possible during these difficult times.
 
We are following the guidance and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on the steps we must take to prevent the spread of this virus. Whaling City will continue regularly scheduled sales and service operations unless it is otherwise instructed by state health officials.  We are taking the following measures to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone who visits the dealership.
 
  • Associates have been directed to avoid shaking hands and to stand six feet from customers when possible.
  • We will be offering at-home test drives. If you feel more comfortable being at home, our staff will bring the vehicle to you.
  • We will also be offering a pick-up and drop off service for all customers with service needs. 
  • Our service associates have been instructed to wear gloves and utilize protective coverings when moving, or working inside, customer vehicles.
  • Our janitorial staff and employees have been instructed to increase their focus on disinfecting high-touch surfaces within our offices and dealership.
  • We are working with our cleaning crews to upgrade our cleaning products and procedures to EPA-approved solutions to ensure the maximum level of cleanliness.
  • Surfaces are to be treated daily with proper disinfectants and those high-traffic areas will be given special attention.
  • The interior of all vehicles in the showroom are being wiped down with antibacterial wipes daily. Vehicles that are taken out for test drives will be wiped down with proper disinfectant after each test drive. 
  • We have enacted a strict hand-washing protocol that requires associates to wash with soap and water or sanitize hands frequently.
  • Any employee who is sick is directed to stay home, and any employee who appears ill will be sent home immediately.
