Riverfront Children's Center Exceeds Expectations

The Riverfront Children’s Center, a non-profit childcare and early learning center on Thames Street received a score of 97.5 out of a possible 100 in the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation process. NAEYC is the world’s largest organization of early childhood professionals and awards one of the most recognized accreditations for childcare centers.

The months-long assessment process concentrates on ten standards of excellence: Relationships; Curriculum; Teaching; Assessment of Child Progress; Health; Staff Competencies, Preparation, and Support; Families; Community Relationships; Physical Environment; and Leadership and Management. The Riverfront Children’s Center has been nurturing the unique needs of children and their families through affordable, high-quality education and care since 1983.
