UConn Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) in pursuit of student housing at Avery Point

UConn has released a request for expressions of interest (RFEI) in pursuit of student housing at Avery Point. Please access the details at this link or in the attachment.

Responses received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8 will receive preference in review and consideration. They may be submitted in hard copy (details in RFEI) or electronically to Robert.Corbett@uconn.edu. All questions and clarification requests should be directed to Realestate@uconn.edu.

As was shared at the event held at Avery Point on June 11th, UConn is eager to find a private partner with which to create transformative change at Avery Point, including housing for students and a potential conference space, hotel, or other use that would meet the needs of the region. UConn would provide the land for development, and the private partner would provide the needed capital investment. In addition to the ideas that are anticipated to be discussed through the RFEI process, UConn will continue dialogue with local stakeholders to understand their needs and wants. Please share the RFEI with any parties that may be interested and be in touch if there are any questions, or an interest in conversation, regarding our shared opportunity.
