Former Safe Futures employee is now a board member

Nicole Broadus recently joined the board of directors for Safe Futures, a non-profit that serves victims and survivors of domestic violence in southeastern Connecticut. Safe Futures is proud to announce Broadus’ addition to its board of directors.

Her leadership role with Safe Futures meshes well with her job in New London Public Schools supporting the health of students and their families as the district’s wellness manager. Broadus is also on the board of directors for the Riverfront Children’s Center in Groton.

Broadus is a former Safe Futures employee and worked in several roles over the course of a decade. Her front-line experience with the organization ranges from advocacy and prevention education to helping clients find transitional housing and navigating the judicial process. Broadus joined the board of directors at Safe Futures in April.

Safe Futures is a 50l(c)3 non-profit organization, a member agency of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and the only agency exclusively providing crisis intervention, shelter, ongoing support, and housing for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking in southeastern Connecticut.
