Waterford Announces Small Business Grant Program

The Town of Waterford is launching a small business grant assistance program to effectively serve Waterford’s small businesses seeking pandemic relief. Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, the program is created by the Planning and Development department alongside Connecticut-based strategic communications and marketing agency, Brianna Régine Visionary Consulting. Applications will be accepted at the end of August. Awards will be announced and distributed by November 2022.

Small businesses and nonprofit organizations are essential contributors to our town’s economic development,” says Abby Piersall, Planning Director. “Waterford is dedicated to making this program assist as many businesses as possible and intentionally distribute grants in a way that highlights Waterford’s inclusive economy.”

We want to support as well as sustain the growth of small businesses in Waterford who are still financially recovering from the pandemic,” said First Selectman, Rob Brule. “This is a program that is the first of its kind in Waterford and I’m confident it will provide a much needed boost to our existing businesses and ensure they continue to flourish.”

Small business owners are invited to take a 10-minute survey and RSVP for a virtual round table discussion on August 29th at 6:30pm here.

The survey and meeting will help us to connect with small business owners in Waterford and provide owners with updates about the grant.
