ECSO Musicians to Perform at Opening of Catherine Fosnot Gallery Exhibition

Gallery opening in Harris Building:

Cathy Fosnot, a long-term resident of New London most known for her work in math education, is opening a new gallery in the Harris Building at 165 State St. (Atrium 102) on Friday, September 18 at 6pm. The opening exhibition will be her own works, which she created as the global pandemic forced closures. The exhibition opening will be from 6-8PM and runs through October 10th. A duo of musicians from the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra will perform in the Atrium of the Harris Building as part of the opening, adding to the newly announced Soundscape series. Joan Winters, Principal 2nd Violin will join Matilda Petrela, ECSO section cellist to perform works together as a duo in addition to solo pieces. This event is free and refreshments will be served outside in the adjacent courtyard.

Please RSVP on the gallery’s website: www.thecatherinefosnotartgalleryandcenter.com if you plan to come so organizers can monitor numbers and manage the group safely. Masks are required.
