Norwich Arts Center is pleased to announce that LaShawn Cunningham was recently voted in as a board member

A 2003 Norwich Free Academy Alumni, Lashawn is not only a proud mother of three but a community leader. She is a licensed foster parent through Waterford Country School and works at the Oak Hill Connecticut Institute for The Blind. LaShawn’s passion for community service began when she served as a youth leader at Tabernacle of Deliverance and Praise. When she was a youth leader, her dance company, Unique Praise Anointed Worship, was also birthed. Cunningham is the founder and director of Blooming into Greatness which is a nonprofit youth organization. Her efforts have been recognized, as she is a recipient of the 2016 Norwich NAACP Robertsine Duncan Youth Council President Award and the 100 Women of Color 2021 award.

Norwich Arts Center, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, is currently accepting applications for additional community minded Board members who have a passion for the arts.
