Radiance Woodwind Quintet Performs March 18 in Mystic to Benefit Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center

The Radiance Woodwind Quintet will perform in concert on Sunday, March 18 at 4:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Mystic, CT to benefit the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.

The concert, sponsored by the Don Kimball Fund, in collaboration with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, will feature works by Debussy, Ligeti, Mozart, Piazzola, and Paquito D’Rivera. Dedicated to performing classic and innovative wind quintet repertoire with perfection, pose, style, and sass, the Radiance Woodwind Quintet has performed for enthusiastic audiences throughout the Northeastern United States since 2006.

The Radiance Woodwind Quintet members are ECSO Principal Clarinet, Kelli O’Connor, ECSO Principal Oboe, Carla Parodi, ECSO Horn, Bryce Nakaoka, bassoonist, Stevi Rehncy, and flutist, Elizabeth Jackson, all of whom are current or former members of the US Coast Guard Band. Tickets are $20 (suggested tax-deductible donation), $15 for ECSO subscribers, and free for children 12 & under. All proceeds will benefit the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. Exquisite soloists from near, far, and within our very own orchestra ranks will take the stage next year. The chosen programs will continue to highlight the orchestral excellence that has become synonymous with the ECSO. Major repertoire selections include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (Eroica), Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 among many others. Our season comes to a ravishing close through a celebration of Leonard Bernstein’s 100th Anniversary with a concert presentation of Candide, a collaborative project uniting our artistic community for a presentation like no other in the region.

The ECSO offers a range of affordable seating options from $62 to as low as $12 for attendance to one concert. The ECSO will continue to offer those under 30 years of age and active or retired military members $12 tickets in premium sections.
