Reliance Health Offering CCAR Recovery Coach Training

Reliance Health will be providing CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© for community members this May.

Recognized nationally as the original and leading recovery offering of its kind, CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© is an innovative new approach to healing people's lives that is unlike any other training. It offers participants the once-in-a-lifetime experience to gain new knowledge, be challenged, and reap valuable rewards, providing the essential learning, tools, and resources needed to become an effective recovery coach.

The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© is a 5-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills need to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs.

In addition, Reliance Health is offering CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches in April. Based on the widely used Ethical Guidelines for the Delivery of Peer-based Recovery Support Services by William White and PRO-ACT (2007), this training was designed to help coaches, and anyone else working in the peer role, to understand how critical it is to be ethically responsible. Using presentations, small group work, and role play to address many areas including: defining the coaching service role and functions, coaching standards, issues of vulnerability, ethical decision making, performance enhancement and legal issues.

Both trainings are being offered in Norwich. CEUs are available for those who complete training. Registration costs for CCAR Recovery Coach Academy is $499 and CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches is $249. Save $50 by registering before March 27.
