Old Saybrook, CT – SCORE SECT is excited to announce the appointment of volunteer Anne Driscoll to the role of Chapter Workshop Chair. In this role, Anne will be responsible for the planning and implementation of SCORE’s Workshop Program conducted throughout the year in Southeastern Connecticut. SCORE conducted over 45 workshops last year in southeastern Connecticut, all intended to help entrepreneurs start, grow and thrive as businesses. Workshop topics included “How to Build a Simple Business Plan”, “Social Media 101 for Small Business”, “Branding Fundamentals for Small Business”, and “How to Create a Simple Website”, to name a few.
“We are thrilled to have someone of Anne’s experience in this role,” says Margo Weitekamp, Chapter Chair of SCORE SECT. “She has big shoes to fill following on the success of outgoing Chairs, Bill Ward and Ward Feirer,” she added. “Anne’s experience in building new age businesses in the digital sphere is particularly appealing to us, as it will help SCORE better serve its clients.”
Driscoll, a native of Westerly RI, has already put her mark on the Workshop program with the planned February launch of the Simple Steps for Starting Your Business Small Business Workshop Series. In addition, she is in the midst of conducting a survey among SCORE clients regionally to ensure their needs are being met. “It’s all about relevancy, and keeping pace with the constantly changing market we live in,” Driscoll commented. “I’m thrilled to be supporting SCORE; they are an organization that impacts businesses and business owners in a meaningful way, and I’m proud to be part of this,” Driscoll concluded.
