Old Saybrook, CT – The Southeastern Connecticut chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to the success of small businesses, will present a free Small Business Workshop on "Managing Your Non-Profit Business."

Now that you have formed your non-profit, registered it with federal and state authorities and are beginning operations, managing the enterprise is your next challenge.
This workshop will show you how to work with volunteers and lead the organization, plan events and programs, work with a Board of Directors, and develop community partners. It will demonstrate ways to fundraise for your non-profit organization, show you how to create a marketing plan, and explain accounting and periodic reporting.

Workshop Presenter Bob Potter is a graduate of Syracuse University and has more than 40 years in creative management, marketing communications, and non-profit development for leading corporate, arts, cultural and non-profit organizations including Time Warner, National Geographic, AOL, National Gallery of Art, Lyme Art Association, Mystic Seaport, and Save the Children. His areas of expertise include marketing and communications, web development, market research, fundraising for non-profits, and strategic planning. Additionally, Bob provides consulting for the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism and volunteer work with the Southeast Connecticut Shoreline Food Pantry.

Thanks to our Partners, Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT, and the Public Library of New London.
