The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation announces
the Cancelation of their Annual Holiday Gala

Launches ’12 Days of Bidding’ virtual auction beginning December 10

Waterford, CT – The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation announces with great disappointment the cancelation of the 37th Annual Holiday Gala on Friday, December 10.

“The decision by the Foundation’s Board of Directors to once again skip this beloved year-end tradition was incredibly difficult,” says Lou Ziegler, Board Chair for the Chamber Foundation. “During recent weeks, a significant and growing number of sponsors expressed serious concerns regarding the new variant and risk of infection, and we could not in good conscience move forward.”

The Chamber Foundation continues to move forward with its mission to support children and families. Proceeds from the Annual Holiday Gala have helped contribute nearly $1.5 million to the eastern Connecticut community since 2002.

In lieu of an in-person gala, attendees are invited to “12 Days of Bidding”.

The launch of a virtual auction on Friday, December 10, will run for 12 days to showcase the amazing auction items and the generous donors and sponsors. Each day a new package from the Live Auction will appear for bidders to explore and bid from home, alongside silent and raffle items.
Interested bidders are asked to join in this celebration of giving starting Friday, December 10.
