United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is teaming up with the Connecticut Sun to host a United Way Night on Thursday, June 8 at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Sun will take on the Las Vegas Aces, the reigning WNBA champions. United Way will receive $5 for every ticket sold to benefit the organization’s vital network of health and human service programs and initiatives.United Way Night at the Connecticut Sun June 8
The June 8 game is A Night of Distinction when excellence in sports will be celebrated with special appearances from Olympic Medalists and New England Champions. Additionally, the first 2,500 fans will receive a Connecticut Sun foam finger.
The game against Las Vegas will be a rematch of last year's WNBA finals. The Aces' roster features Kelsey Plum, Candace Parker, and last year's MVP of the finals, Chelsea Gray.
