Visitation Policy Changed to Help Fight Coronavirus (COVID-19) Spread

Due to continued concern regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), Lawrence + Memorial Hospital is immediately restricting all visitors.

“We are implementing a visitor restriction policy in order to ensure the safety of our patients, their families, our employees and our physician colleagues,” said Patrick Green, president and CEO of L+M Hospital. “We trust that the public will understand the importance of reducing the spread of the virus in any way we can. Our goal is to keep the community safe while continuing to provide the care needed on behalf of the communities we serve.”

Limited exceptions to the visitor restriction policy may be made at the discretion of clinical leaders at the hospital, such as for end of life care.

L+M Hospital personnel will continue to monitor the situation and restrictions will be amended when appropriate.

In addition, Yale New Haven Health is offering a call center for patients and the community who have questions about COVID-19. Healthcare professionals from the health system are available to answer specific questions Monday - Friday, 7 am - 7 pm. The call center can be reached at 833-ASK-YNHH (833-275-9644).
