Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) is Connecticut’s leading resource for all things recovery. Whether you're exploring a life in recovery, newly embracing it, or have been in long-term recovery, CCAR is here to support you. We help you navigate the recovery community by connecting you with others in recovery and providing access to vital support services.
Our mission is to empower and unite the recovery community—including individuals in recovery, family members, friends, and allies—by: 1.) Putting a face on recovery, 2.) Providing comprehensive recovery support services.
Through advocacy, education, and service, CCAR promotes recovery from alcohol and substance use disorders while working to eliminate stigma, remove barriers, and create opportunities for lasting recovery. We are committed to ensuring that every person seeking or sustaining recovery is treated with dignity and respect, no matter their recovery pathway.
