3rd Annual Letting OUR Voices Be Heard

Mitchell College invites the community to the 3rd Annual Letting OUR Voices Be Heard, a free event open to all, Sunday, Feb. 8, Noon–4 p.m., in the Clarke Center at Mitchell College, 437 Pequot Ave., New London. 

The program features dozens of dancers, vocalists, instrumentalists, poets, and speakers. Locally owned businesses, community organizations, a DJ, live music, food trucks, and giveaways also enrich the event. Mitchell College junior Inonda C. Peterson conceived and directs Letting OUR Voices Be Heard to share the culture, history, and achievements of the Black community with the greater community in honor of Black History Month. 

Last year’s celebration welcomed 500 community members and more than 40 performers and vendors.
