Purpose

The CT Business Matchmaker is a high-impact networking event designed to connect businesses (suppliers) with government buyers and prime contractors to strengthen our national/local supply chains and open opportunities of procurement for CT and New England Regional businesses. 

Components

Matchmaking Appointments: Structured matchmaking appointments provide a unique opportunity for businesses to engage in targeted, one-on-one meetings with buyers seeking capable suppliers for current and future opportunities. Appointments will be in 12-minute increments. The appointments are made via a Business Matchmaking Portal, and the structure and flow of each meeting is determined by the buying organization conducting the interview. Each Supplier has the opportunity for 8 meeting requests. The appointments will be held in a partitioned portion of the CT Convention Center ballroom from 9:30am-3:00pm.

CT BUSINESS MATCHMAKER BUYERS

Business Expo: The business expo will be a dynamic networking and resource hub designed to complement the CT Business Matchmaker. This expo will connect small businesses with key resource providers, lenders, prime contractors, and government agencies. The expo will be held in the ballroom of the CT Convention Center from 9:00am-4:00pm. For Exhibitor Registration contact Tanisha Baptiste-Bynum at info@ctbusinessmatchmaker.com. 

Workshop Sessions: CT Business Matchmaker event will feature a series of attendee training session covering SBA resources, certifications, loan programs, and procurement. The training sessions will be facilitated by SBA employees, partners and contracting experts. The training sessions are free of cost and seating will be on a first come-first serve basis. They will occur from 9:30am-2:30pm in the Connecticut Convention meeting rooms. 

Partners: The event is a co-sponsorship with the State of Connecticut Office of Manufacturing, State of Connecticut Office Department of Economic and Community Development, State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services, Women’s Business Development Center. There is no charge for participation.
