RESCHEDULED FROM MAY
The Story Behind the Terri Goldsmith Memorial Golf Tournament:
Temple Emanu-El is so pleased to name this golf tournament in memory of such a shining light in our community.
Terri Goldsmith was an amazing person, filled with love for people, a passion for teaching children, and limitless creativity. She taught religious school at Temple Emanu-El for 30 years and she still remains in the hearts of her students as their favorite teacher. She designed engaging and memorable hands-on lessons to make learning fun for her students. She also worked as a teacher at Solomon Schecter Academy for over 30 years.
Terri was more than an educator at Temple Emanu-El. She received the Howard Ilson Memorial Award in 2006 for her many years of dedication to Temple Emanu-El, in the greater Jewish community, and beyond, through her many acts of loving kindness to others. She gave so much time, energy, and volunteer support to Temple Emanu-El's Shabbat onegs, fundraisers, and many other special events. She was never too busy to offer her magic touch.
Proceeds from this event benefit Yale New Haven Health Smilow Cancer Hospital and Temple Emanu-El of Waterford, CT.
