Join us as we celebrate a meaningful milestone for our community!
The Chamber’s Leadership Eastern Connecticut Program Class of 2027 proudly invites you to a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the newly created Always Home Essentials shop—a space designed to support families with minor children across Eastern Connecticut as they transition into stable housing.
Organized by the Class of ’27 as a Community Service Project, this initiative transforms donated space into a welcoming, dignified “store” where people can shop—at no cost—for essential household items. Stocked with goods such as towels, bedding, cookware, dishes, and small appliances, the shop provides the basics needed to turn a house into a home.
For many, securing a safe place to live is only the first step. After covering rent, moving costs, and bills, the expense of everyday items can feel out of reach. This shop helps bridge that gap—giving the tools to create stability and sense of comfort. By offering essential housewares in a choice-based environment, the Essentials Room will empower families to take the next step forward.
Through a collaborative effort across fundraising, logistics, procurement, and marketing, the Leadership Class worked alongside Always Home to bring this vision to life.
This ribbon cutting represents more than the opening of a shop—it reflects a shared commitment to helping neighbors rebuild, regain stability, and move forward with confidence, while reducing financial barriers across our region.
Join us to tour the space and celebrate this community achievement.
