About Us

Spark Makerspace is a community workshop and learning center. For a monthly membership fee, we provide access to shared tools, equipment, workspace, and classes for a wide variety of making activities, including Woodworking; Stained Glass; Technology/Electronic; Fiber Arts; Printmaking. Spark Makerspace was founded in 2015 by artists, “techies”, and entrepreneurs to support making by providing urban dwellers and the region with resources they did not have. Each workshop offers training for members and the general public. In 2020, to accommodate growth, Spark purchased a historic 9,400 square foot commercial building at 7 Union Street in the heart of downtown New London for our permanent home. Come make, create, and collaborate!
