Political Candidate Academy: An Introduction to Public Service (Session Two)
The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT presents our Political Candidate Academy, a two-session, non-partisan introduction to government service.
Our region's social and economic fabric is highly dependent on a healthy, competitive political environment. If you have a passion for supporting your community, working with others, and making a difference in our state, join us to learn about running for office and serving the public.
Attendance at both sessions, June 22 and June 26, is required. You need register only once: click here to do so. Light refreshments will be served.

Session one will cover public service and what it means, the endorsement process, fundraising best practices, reporting requirements, and encouraging voter registration and turnout.
Session two will address campaign strategy and communications, signage rules, media relations, Freedom of Information Act, and serving your constituency as an elected official.
