Art After Dark Continues at Mystic Museum of Art with Marcy Kelly Trio and April Brunelle

Mystic, CT – Mystic Museum of Art (MMoA) family-friendly concert series continues Tuesday, July 19th from 6pm to 8:30pm, and features Pizzetta pizza, drinks, live art, and live music on the MMoA riverfront patio, weather permitting, and in the galleries showcasing Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 105th Annual Juried Exhibition. This month features live music by Marcy Kelly Trio, live art by Sam Brown, and live balloon art by April Brunelle.
 
The Marcy Kelly Trio features Marcy Kelly on vocals, Ian Kelly on guitar and vocals, and Tom Lataweic on upright acoustic bass. Together they perform an eclectic mix of mostly covers along with some original material ranging from jazz, funk, R&B, pop, traditional country, and singer-songwriter selections. Each selection is laced with their own unique and artistic approach.
 
Sam Brown is the artist behind the long running interactive art project based at Explodingdog.com which has been featured in The New York Times, Wired Magazine and other publications. April Brunelle has a natural talent for Balloon Art and has twisted for events all over Mystic, CT.
 
Art After Dark is designed to integrate various art forms and showcase MMoA’s role as a hub for creative expression and as a platform for regional artists to show their work. This family-friendly series is held from 6pm to 8:30pm on the third Tuesday of each month through October (excluding June) and features various musicians and artists. Admission: $15 (non-members); $12 (members); $3 (children 4-12); Children 0-3 are free. Two hour parking validations are included with admission.
