Avery-Copp House Hosts Victorian Valentine Workshop

If you send or receive flowers on Valentine’s Day, you might want to attend the Victorian Valentine Workshop, Sunday, February 5 at 1 PM at the Avery-Copp House. The hidden meaning in the flowers might surprise you. During the Victorian Era, when the rules of etiquette proscribed what could and could not be declared, flowers were used to convey affection – or the opposite. Learn the subtle meaning a certain arrangement of blooms might express, enjoy tea and sweets and make a Victorian Valentine to take home.

The Avery-Copp House is located in the historic Groton Bank neighborhood, 154 Thames Street in Groton, CT.  Admission is $15, and reservations are required. Call 860-445-1637 or email averycopphouse@sbcglobal.net. For more information visit www.AveryCoppHouse.org
