Charter Oak Awards 10 Grants Totaling $18,850

Local Non-Profits Benefit From Credit Union’s Giving Program

Waterford, CT – Charter Oak Federal Credit Union awarded $18,850 to 10 local non-profits as part of its quarterly giving grants disbursement.

Grant recipients included Always Home, Inc.; Cutler Middle School PTO; Groton Parks Foundation, Inc.; High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Inc.; Madonna Place, Inc.; Striving Towards Empowered Personal Success; Sails Up 4 Cancer; Salt Marsh Opera Company, Inc.; Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region; and the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut.

Charter Oak prides itself on giving back to the community via its Community Giving Program which includes a $90,000 College Scholarship Program, $100,000 Matching Gifts Program, monthly sponsorships and quarterly grants.

The credit union accepts grant requests on a quarterly basis. The next deadline is July 1st.

Charter Oak has awarded more than $2 million to community organizations since the inception of its Community Giving Program in 2009.
