Dime Bank Partners With The Salvation Army for Annual Angel Tree Program

Dime Bank is once again partnering with The Salvation Army for their annual Angel Tree program, which provides new clothing and toys for children of needy families. Each Angel Tree is decorated with paper angel tags with the first name, age, and gender of a child in need of a gift. Contributors remove one or more tags from the tree and purchases gifts for the child described on the tag.

Dime Bank is participating in all 12 of its branches, where employees as well as customers can assist someone in need by selecting an angel tag and purchasing a special gift for that child. This program eliminates the cost of toys that would normally be a part of The Salvation Army’s holiday expenses, thus making more funding available for emergency needs such as food, clothing, shelter, rental assistance and fuel assistance.

Contributors should return the gift(s) unwrapped along with its tag to any Dime Bank branch. The deadline to return gifts is December 10. For more information on how to participate in the Angel Tree program, please contact any Salvation Army location in Connecticut or Rhode Island.
