Dime Foundation Awards $4,000 to Eastern CT Housing Opportunities

Norwich, CT – Dime Bank Foundation has awarded $4,000 to Eastern Connecticut Housing Opportunities (ECHO) to help cover the costs of kitchen renovations in one of 22 deteriorated one-and two-family properties in New London that will be acquired, rehabilitated, and then sold to low-income, first-time homebuyers.

These homes are all part of ECHO’s “Home New London Program” which is being funded by a grant from the Connecticut Department of Housing and will help create affordable ownership properties for families of limited income while helping to revitalize urban neighborhoods.
