 Jonathan Wood and Laurie Gervais Promoted to Executive Vice President

Willimantic, CT – Rheo Brouillard, President & CEO at Savings Institute Bank & Trust announced the news that Jonathan Wood and Laurie Gervais have been promoted to Executive Vice President.

Jonathan Wood has been promoted to Executive Vice President - Retail Banking. “Mr. Wood came to Savings Institute Bank & Trust in 2012 and brought a tremendous amount of enthusiasm to our branch network.  Jonathan has been an impressive leader to our Retail Banking team and has created a noble team of sales professionals throughout our branch network in just a few years,” stated Rheo Brouillard.    
      
Jonathan had previously been at Bank of America where he was a Senior Vice President, Consumer Market Executive and he led those 41 eastern Connecticut offices of Bank of America to achieve high ratings in areas involving customer treatment, customer relationships and increased revenue and market share. Mr. Wood had similar management roles at Fleet Bank, where he was responsible for service, sales and operations at Banking Centers in the Farmington Valley, Fairfield County and New Haven areas.

Mr. Wood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He also attended the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. 

Jonathan has been a very active community volunteer, serving as the Executive Director of the Military Support Affinity Group in CT, the Director of Habitat for Humanity in New Haven, the Director of Hartford Economic Development Corporation as well as chairing numerous other volunteer organizations. 

Laurie Gervais has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.  “Laurie has been a loyal employee for over 32 years and is now leading Human Resources, Security & Facilities, Deposit Operations, Electronic Banking, Loan Servicing and the Call Center.  She is a valuable team member and has demonstrated strong leadership over the years.” stated Rheo Brouillard.

Mrs. Gervais started at the bank as a part-time teller in our Lebanon office and has held various positions including Assistant Branch Manager, Systems Training Manager, Support Services Manager, Corporate Secretary and Director of Human Resources.  She is very involved in the community serving as a Corporator at the Windham Community Memorial Hospital and has been a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and a Relay for Life participant.  Laurie lives in Windham CT with her husband, Stanley and they have 2 grown children, Stanley and Alycia.
