United Community & Family Services (UCFS) has been awarded $2,000 from the Co-Trustees for the Olga Sipolin Children’s Fund. The funds will allow uninsured children to receive preventive dental sealants through UCFS’ Smiles on the Move Dental program. The Smiles on the Move program utilizes mobile dental equipment to visit 63 area school and child care centers in 13 towns and cities in southeastern Connecticut. Registered Dental hygienists provide oral health services including proper brushing and flossing techniques, exams, dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants and bitewing x-rays.
