Chamber Perspective: Jane Davis, Membership Investment Manager

I’m Jane Davis, Membership Investment Manager for the Chamber for a little over two years. Every day this role allows me to do what I love best-acting as a connector and resource for the many unique businesses and organizations that make up our vibrant community.

As a new arrival from the Greater Boston area just 3 years ago, it took me no time at all to settle in and become an enthusiastic advocate for living and working in this region!  I am married with two sons and almost an empty nester- one a recent graduate of Mitchell College and the other a senior at UMass Dartmouth.

Something that not many people know and that I reflect on quite often is that my father served as the Membership Manager for the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce for years! Oh, how I wish he was here to know that I have followed in his footsteps!

Over the course of my career, I have worn many of the same hats as our members. I have co-owned a consulting practice, run my own business and have worked for organizations both large and small! I invite you to take a peek at my path. This experience gives me a unique experiential perspective on the challenges and needs of our business community.

So how does membership in our Chamber contribute to a business’s bottom line? It’s simple-we offer the opportunity to grow a member’s network, community, and presence across a wide swath of eastern CT and beyond- a true benefit of a regional Chamber!
