Founded in 2002, NESS is a nonprofit organization that empowers students with a love of learning and expands academic opportunities through ocean-based experiential education. Through a NEASC-accredited, standards-based approach, NESS combines STEM learning with hands-on experiences that build leadership, teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Using marine science, sailing, powerboating, and adventure sports as learning platforms, NESS engages students of all ages in meaningful experiences that foster academic growth, personal development, and environmental stewardship.
