Mystic Whaler Shanty Night
New England Science & Sailing (NESS) Foundation will host the Mystic Whaler Shanty Night on Thursday, August 6, at 7:30pm at 70 Water Street. Don Sineti, the Sea Shantyman, will perform a variety of folk songs ranging from sea chanteys to instrumentals. Historically, sea shanties were performed on large sailing vessels and sung by merchant sailors while they worked.
Mystic Whaler Shanty Night is open to the public with a $5 suggested donation. All proceeds benefit NESS programs. For more information, call 860.535.9362.
