Open Session of Entrepreneur Academy: Pitching Your Idea
Pitching Your Idea
featuring Onyeka Obiocha, Executive Director of CTNext
Entrepreneur Q&A with Ivy Mellow, Owner of Ivy's Simply Homemade
In a special session of the Chamber's pilot Entrepreneur Academy program, our community members are invited to hear our featured speakers' presentations and meet the current class participants.
Ony is responsible for managing CTNext’s full array of strategic economic development programs focused on fostering entrepreneurship, startup and growth-stage businesses while cultivating a robust innovation ecosystem on behalf of the State of Connecticut. Ony will be sharing how people can effectively pitch their business idea to engage supporters.
After Ony's presentation, there will be a Q&A with local entrepreneur Ivy Mellow on how she started and grew her business, Ivy's Simply Homemade, an award-winning Waterford-based catering company with a retail storefront.
Entrepreneur Academy is a new 8-week program to help emerging entrepreneurs formulate their idea into a profitable business. Participants will receive training from experts, mentorship, and gain access to local resources. The program is made possible in part by TRIP and CTNext. Learn more about the Entrepreneur Academy.
