Scholar Activism in a Period of Change and Resistance in the United States
Scholar-activist Rose M. Brewer will be visiting Mitchell College on Thursday, March 19, at 4:30 p.m. to present 'Scholar Activism in a Period of Change and Resistance in the United States.' The lecture will be held at the Mitchell College Weller Center and is free and open to the public. The lecture focuses on how scholars who are committed to activism negotiate and connect to social change efforts, both locally and nationally. This is particularly important in a period in which students and communities are organizing for social justice. This involvement goes beyond traditional community service, and involves working through the complicated issues of scholar activism.
