JOB DESCRIPTION:Strategic Executive Assistant
The Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) seeks a Strategic Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the President/CEO, Board of Directors, and Senior Management Team. This is a high-visibility position supporting EWIB strategic partnerships, communications, planning, scheduling, and meeting and office operations.

EWIB accomplishes its mission in its 41-town service area by coordinating a network of partners to implement programs and initiatives including three American Job Centers, industry-driven workforce pipelines, youth workforce programs, and employer services. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the President and Senior Management Team to develop and strengthen internal and external relationships to support EWIB’s mission and priorities
Handle questions and requests on behalf of the President, using sound judgment in determining when and how the President should be engaged
Manage logistics with the Board of Directors, including meeting dates and agendas, reports and other meeting preparation, and communicate with Board members on these items
Plan, coordinate, and support the operation of effective meetings, including Board meetings
Develop materials for EWIB presentations to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders
Assist the President in managing their work schedule and communications
Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to determine and prioritize EWIB strategies
Work with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress towards goals
Provide analysis and decision support to the Senior Management Team
Provide tactical support to the Senior Management Team to implement ideas
Research funding opportunities and support the development of grant applications
Review media, literature, and data and circulate relevant findings to EWIB staff and others
Assist with maintaining the EWIB website and social media
Support selected administrative, programmatic, and fiscal duties, as needed
Perform other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to demonstrate respect, professionalism, and sound judgment clearly and consistently with people from all levels
Excellent writing skills, including the ability to summarize detailed information and send clear, concise, and professional emails
Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
Ability and commitment to work in a team-oriented environment
Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Confident and proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency with office technology (e.g., copiers, printers, scanners, telephone)
Ability and willingness to learn new systems, processes, and procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated commitment to service-oriented organizations or causes
Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva or a willingness to learn
Proficiency in the effective use of social media platforms
Notary Public or willingness to become one upon hire
