The CT Storytelling Center provides programs to schools, an annual spring festival, and produces other workshops and concerts Higher Edge guides low-income and first-generation students through enrollment, retention, and graduation from college by providing the support and resources needed for success. The Kumon program is a supplemental tool helping children ranging from pre-school age to high school specializing in math and reading. This program helps to build confident and independent readers to excel in different areas of life. Our mission is to assist English speakers to learn to read and to support New Americans to speak and understand English and to thrive in America as residents, parents, employees, and business owners. Mystic Aquarium is a division of Sea Research Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, and is counted among the nation's leading aquariums with more than 300 species and an extensive collection of marine mammals, including New England's only beluga whales. Since 1970, OIC of New London County, Inc. (OIC) has provided training, vocational counseling and job placement assistance for economically disadvantaged adults. The free programs offered by OIC are available to low-income, low-skilled New London County residents. Our agency offers a variety of valuable services to individuals with special needs throughout Southeastern Connecticut. Our mission is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities by providing them with the vocational and life skill training needed to become productive members of their community.
