Generations is the only FQHC in Windham County and the only federally-funded FQHC in Norwich. As a community health center, Generations always works with other health care organizations in the region, such as the hospitals, specialists and private practices, to coordinate the necessary care for the patients we serve.
Ledge Light Health District – LLHD – serves as the local health department for East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, Lyme, New London, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Stonington, and Waterford, Connecticut. As a health district, formed under Connecticut General Statutes Section 19a-241, LLHD is a special unit of government, allowing member municipalities to provide comprehensive public health services to residents in a more efficient manner by consolidating the services within one organization.
The Uncas Health District is an unaffiliated, unincorporated non-profit agency operating under Connecticut General Statutes. The agency’s mission is to promote and protect the public’s health in order to prevent illness, death and disability among its residents. The Board of Directors is comprised of 15 non-compensated members appointed by each of the member municipalities.
