Always Home Receives $20,000 Two-Year Grant From Nordson Corporation Foundation

Always Home is thrilled to announce that Nordson Corporation Foundation has awarded the social service nonprofit a $20,000 two-year grant in support of its mission, Preventing Family Homelessness. Always Home’s Executive Director, Tricia Cunningham, and its Marketing, Communications and Grants Manager, Kathy Keller, met with Nordson Corporation employees Brian Dauphinais and Michelle Draleau in Norwich to personally thank them for supporting this grant award.

Always Home is a 501(C)(3) non-profit formed in 1998 to address the needs of Eastern Connecticut's homeless and at-risk families. As the region's leading service provider focused exclusively on serving families with minor children, Always Home offers case management support and access to the emergency services families need to establish housing stability. The agency is also a designated Family HUB for the Homelessness Response System in Eastern Connecticut, providing services to families from New London County and Windham County referred by 2-1-1. In the past fiscal year, Always Home responded to 458 families in housing crisis; 107 of these families were Norwich residents.

Nordson Corporation is dedicated to improving the well-being of the communities where they operate and has a long history of corporate and employee community involvement. "Building a better community is all about partnerships," said Tricia Cunningham. "We are very grateful to Nordson Corporation and its employees for this funding and for sharing our commitment to help those in need. Together, we can work towards a future where no child has to experience the heartache of losing their home.”
