This spring, the Foundation’s Board of Directors will select four scholarship recipients based on a variety of criteria including academic persistence, community involvement, career interest, and financial need. Each recipient will receive a check of $1,250 to be applied toward their chosen college or vocational program to help fund their educational and career goals.

“Education is one of the key components of ultimate life success,” said Louis Ziegler, Chair of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation’s Board of Directors. “The Chamber Foundation is proud to support eastern CT’s rising workforce by providing financial assistance to promising high school seniors pursuing higher education or exploring vocational training. It is one way we can enhance these students’ lives and help them achieve success in their chosen careers.”

Scholarship funding comes from Foundation initiatives throughout the year, including its annual Bowl-a-Thon, held at Foxwoods Resort Casino, and annual Holiday Gala, hosted at Mohegan Sun.
