Chamber’s and Mohegan Tribal Council’s Total Life Expo Returns Sept. 19
One-Day Event to Showcase Mind, Body, Spiritual Health

Eastern CT  – The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut, in partnership with the Mohegan Tribal Council, has announced that the third annual Total Life Expo will take place Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at Mohegan Sun’s Convention Center from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Total Life Expo is a quality-of-life event that encompasses all aspects of life – mind, body, and spirit. It is presented by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT and the Mohegan Tribe, and is made possible through generous support from Mohegan Sun, and Presenting Sponsor Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. The event is open to the public with no cost to attend.

WFSB - Channel 3 Eyewitness News has also partnered in support of the Expo this year. Representatives of the Expo plan to appear on “Better Connecticut” and the “Weekend Morning Show” prior to the event, and WFSB on-air personalities Matthew Campbell and Kevin Hogan will be in attendance at the Expo. The Chamber also thanks Supporting Sponsors The Day/Connecticut Family Magazine and Hall Communications.

Highlights of the 2015 Expo include dozens of vendor booths, free flu shots courtesy of Walgreens, health screenings, cooking demos, dance performances, and a food drive. Neurologist, radio show host, and author Dr. Tony Alessi will give a keynote presentation on “A User’s Guide to the Human Brain” at 11 a.m. during the Expo.

New this year is the Total Life Fitness Challenge, a 2 mile obstacle course with stairs, tire run, culvert crawl, hay bale hurdle, balance beam, 8’ wall, traversing walls, and assorted fitness stations.

“Nothing is more important than one’s well-being,” said Tony Sheridan, President & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT. “Living well includes all aspects of life—mind, body, spirit, and that is why our exhibitors will showcase many ways to live a healthy lifestyle. The Expo is valuable to all, from the very young to senior citizens.”
