Coastal CT Magazine Partners with Madison Beach Hotel for Summer Concert Series

The Madison Beach Hotel presents the 2015 Grassy Strip Music & Art Series
In partnership with Coastal Connecticut Magazine

Madison, CT – Coastal Connecticut Magazine is proud to announce its partnership with the Madison Beach Hotel for the 2015 Grassy Strip Music & Art Series. The incredibly popular Grassy Strip concerts are free and open to the public.

The series returns on July 1 with a sizzling performance by Connecticut native Christine Ohlman – rock’s celebrated “Beehive Queen” and lead vocalist from the Saturday Night Live Band – with her own amazing group, Rebel Montez.

The Grassy Strip Music Series at the Madison Beach Hotel has become an institution, featuring top national and regional acts in a relaxed, beachside lawn party setting. Past performers have included 10,000 Maniacs, John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band, The Fixx, and other entertaining groups. Concerts in the 2015 series will run 7:30pm-9pm, and take place right on the beach-side lawn. The hotel’s beautiful ballroom is kept open on show nights in case weather forces the party inside.

Currently, the schedule includes big band favorites The Glenn Miller Orchestra (July 8), R&B tribute show The Magic of Motown (July 22), and cool indie alt-rockers The Adam Ezra Group (August 5), with more concerts to be added throughout the summer.

“We’re all about music and arts on the shoreline,” said Coastal Connecticut Magazine publisher, Jordan Rizza. “John Mathers and his team at the Madison Beach Hotel do a tremendous job. We’re thrilled to lend our support to The Grassy Strip Music & Art Series. It’s going to be a great summer of music and dancing on the beach.”

The Madison Beach Hotel is located at 94 West Wharf Road, Madison, CT. For more information about the hotel and The Grassy Strip Music Series call (203) 245-1404.
