Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling Observes Responsible Gaming Education Week With Awareness &

The Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG), in collaboration with Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, will conduct education and outreach events in observance of Responsible Gaming Education Week, which takes place from September 15-21, 2019.
CCPG staff will be on hand at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun to raise public awareness of responsible gaming, problem gambling, and the availability of prevention and recovery services statewide. Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW) provides an opportunity to share gaming literacy with customers and work with community partners on advancing responsible gaming initiatives.
“We are grateful to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun for providing the opportunity to share information and resources with their patrons and encouraging responsible gaming habits,” Diana Goode, Executive Director of CCPG says. “While most people can gamble safely without any negative repercussions, we estimate that 1-3% of Connecticut residents who gamble suffer from disordered gambling, which can be devastating to individuals and families. Anyone looking for help or resources can either call our 24/7 confidential helpline (1-888-789-7777) or visit our website ( for more information.”
