Dime Bank Foundation Distributes Emergency Grants to Help Community with Food-Related Needs

The Dime Bank Foundation announced on April 8 that it will immediately provide a number of grants to local organizations who are facing surges in food and meal-related needs as a result of the coronavirus (COVID19).

“We have said since this situation started that we are now, more than ever, a community bank,” said Nick Caplanson, Dime’s President and CEO. “We are happy to support these worthy organizations who are working tirelessly today, and every day, to make our community a better place to live.”

Organizations receiving grants include:

·        Norwich Events Organization (fiduciary for Norwich Acts of Kindness)
·        Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center
·        St. Vincent de Paul Place
·        Thames Valley Council for Community Action
·        United Way of Southeastern CT
